Amalie Hammershøi creates ceramic inspired by nature both as material, aesthetic and theme. She works primarily with stoneware, engobes and silk matte glazes, and therefore her ceramic often reveals several surface structures, which encourage a taktile interaktion between the object and the viewer. She uses organic and balanced forms, which is supported by a calm and earthly color palette.
Amalie Hammershøi is interested in the diverse experience of ceramic and wishes to enhance this with functional and aesthetic dinnerware.
